Troy Younger

Cert iv master trainer, Fms Level one certificate & surf coach

Troy has been working in the health and fitness industry for the past 5 years, having completed his certificate IV in Personal training and Functional Movement Screen level 1 certificate. Though Troy has been educating himself with various training methods over the past 10 years as a result from the sports that he was involved in at the time.

It was during his late 20’s when Troy began studying the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that he really decided to learn about the human body and, educate himself in health and fitness. “I was curious as to ways I can learn to move my body more freely, become stronger, create more endurance and achieve all this without becoming susceptible to injury’.

During this time Troy discovered Ido Portal. His philosophy of movement had Troy hooked and this was the beginning of his education into calisthenics / body weight training, yoga, acrobatics, gymnastics, weight training, the list goes on.

Troy met Rod at the start of 2018 via a friend and has been training at HPHP ever since. Troy is one of a few doing the HPHP Mentorship program and is one of the instructors at HPHP.

Troy is very passionate about his clients and their well being. Always going above and beyond to assist clients with reaching their goals and, doing so in a safe manner while achieving maximum results.

Troy’s favourite quote and in turn a philosophy he lives by is “a trainer only counts sets, reps and collects a pay cheque. A coach actually teaches and is there for that individual. A coach goes the extra mile to ensure their client reaches or gets close to reaching their goal. When a coach leaves the gym, he/she is still thinking about that client and ways to improve their training”.
