This workshop is an introduction to various key concepts related to surfing and other functional movement patterns. It will prepare the participants to practice this Movement Method in their training regime to improve performance, prevent injuries, build a mindset for success, as well as creating a body for life long sport performance and surfing. The best thing about this workshop - is that it doesn’t matter if you’re not a surfer, because the principals and techniques used are designed for the everyday athlete and come from a background of CHEK & physiotherapy training.
In the workshop will learn a diverse range of bodyweight movement patterns inspired by disciplines such as capoeira, gymnastics, pilates, Chinese martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, ginastica natural and dancing.
4 hours with a break in the middle, 11am to 4pm with lunch break 12pm to 1pm. If the participants prefer earlier finish, we can have a short break.
We will work on drills, protocols, and exercises to enhance your coordination, stability, mobility, and strength. As well as exploring basic upper and lower body movements designed to strengthen your muscles, tendons, joints and nervous system. This movement method is easily tailored to your level of strength and skills. Many have found this method very successful and a real eye-opener for both beginners and seasoned athletes.
