This workshop is an introduction to various key concepts related to surfing and movement. It will prepare the participants to practice the Surf Movement Method in their training regime to improve surfing performance, prevent injuries, build a mindset for success, as well as creating a body for life long surfing.

You will learn a diverse range of bodyweight surf movement patterns inspired by disciplines such as capoeira, gymnastics, pilates, Chinese martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, ginastica natural and dancing. 

WORKSHOP SPAN:
5 hours from 10am - 3 pm with a break in the middle. 

We will work on drills, protocols, and exercises to enhance your coordination, stability, mobility, and strength. As well as exploring basic upper and lower body surf movements designed to strengthen your muscles, tendons, joints and nervous system. The surf movement method is easily tailored to your level of strength and skills. Many have found this method very successful and a real eye-opener for both beginners and seasoned athletes.

You will learn a variety of drills, protocols, and exercises to enhance your coordination, stability, mobility, and strength. Movement and technique variations are tailored to your level of strength and skills – we build average people into athletes for life!

The Movement Effect working on the sports biomechanics and people normal life. All the sports that can get benefit are BJJ, surfing, triathlon, runners, swimmers, tennis, yoga and another’s.

 

  • BODYWEIGHT MOVEMENT
    You will learn a diverse range of bodyweight movement patterns inspired by disciplines such as surfing, capoeira, gymnastics, Chinese martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, and dancing. We will explore basic upper and lower body movements designed to strengthen your muscles, tendons, joints, and nervous system. This is an eye-opener for both exercise beginners and seasoned athletes.
     
  • MOBILITY/STABILITY
    We offer a system of exercises and stretches to mobilise, stabilise, and prepare your body for more complex and demanding movements and skills. We will introduce greater and “smarter” range of motion for your body – spine, shoulders, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles; as well as enhancing your joint stability to handle the rigours of your training and chosen recreations.
     
  • CORE TRAINING
    We will explore a variety of exercises and drills that challenge your core strength and core-based movement intelligence – learning to engage and control the right muscles for specific activities for postural and dynamic purposes. You will also learn effective breathing techniques to improve your core strength and general health.
     
  • COORDINATION
    Through drills and games, you will learn to control and refine your movements at a much higher level – this is essential to develop into better athletes who consistently progress and achieve their goals. We will focus on improving your nervous system, movement complexity, and capacity to think/act under stress. This is an expanding process vital to building greater competence and confidence in your training, recreations, and life.
