Along with the basic course objectives of DNS Exercise 1 course the following will be covered:

  • Review of the common injury sites seen in the Surfing Athlete
  • Review Surfing Biomechanics and the use of DNS Tests to identify specific inefficiencies of the integrated stabilizing system
  • Active Exercise Based on Developmental Positions: modifications to train basic sport movements of Surfing
  • Active Exercise Prescription Based on Developmental Positions –Putting together a flow sequence of DNS Active Exercises specific for preparing the Surfing Athlete for his/her task

Surf Movement Seminar - Melbourne

This workshop is an introduction to various key concepts related to surfing and movement. It will prepare the participants to practice the Surf Movement Method in their training regime to improve surfing performance, prevent injuries, build a mindset for success, as well as creating a body for life long surfing.

You will learn a diverse range of bodyweight surf movement patterns inspired by disciplines such as capoeira, gymnastics, pilates, Chinese martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, ginastica natural and dancing. 

WORKSHOP SPAN:
4 hours with a break in the middle, 10am to 3pm with lunch break 12pm to 1pm. If the participants prefer earlier finish, we can do a short break.

We will work on drillsprotocols, and exercises to enhance your coordinationstabilitymobility, and strength. As well as exploring basic upper and lower body surf movements designed to strengthen your muscles, tendons, joints and nervous system. The surf movement method is easily tailored to your level of strength and skills. Many have found this method very successful and a real eye-opener for both beginners and seasoned athletes. 

Our goal is to help you improve your surfing not just now, but also as you get older. Giving you the knowledge to becoming an athlete for life!

We will explore drills, protocols, and exercises to enhance your coordination, stability, mobility, and strength. Surf movement and technique variations are tailored to your level of strength and skills – we build average people into athletes for life!
We will explore basic upper and lower body surfmovements designed to strengthen your muscles, tendons, joints, and nervous system. This is an eye-opener for both exercise beginners and seasoned athletes.
