This workshop is an introduction to various key concepts related to surfing and movement. It will prepare the participants to practice the Surf Movement Method in their training regime to improve surfing performance, prevent injuries, build a mindset for success, as well as creating a body for life long surfing.

You will learn a diverse range of bodyweight surf movement patterns inspired by disciplines such as capoeira, gymnastics, pilates, Chinese martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, ginastica natural and dancing. 

WORKSHOP SPAN:
3 hours - 6 PM to 9 PM

We will work on drills, protocols, and exercises to enhance your coordination, stability, mobility, and strength. As well as exploring basic upper and lower body surf movements designed to strengthen your muscles, tendons, joints and nervous system. The surf movement method is easily tailored to your level of strength and skills. Many have found this method very successful and a real eye-opener for both beginners and seasoned athletes. 

Our goal is to help you improve your surfing not just now, but also as you get older. Giving you the knowledge to becoming an athlete for life!

Este workshop é uma introdução a vários conceitos-chave relacionados ao surf e ao movimento. Ele irá preparar os participantes para praticar o Método de Surf Movement em seu regime de treinamento para melhorar o desempenho do surf, prevenir lesões, construir uma mentalidade para o sucesso, bem como criar um corpo para o surf ao longo da vida.

Surf Movement 

Você vai aprender uma variedade diversificada de padrões de movimentos de surf que involvem peso corporal inspirados em disciplinas como capoeira, ginástica, pilates, artes marciais chinesas, jiu jitsu brasileiro, yoga, ginastica natural e dança.

Vamos explorar exercícios, protocolos e exercícios para melhorar sua coordenação, estabilidade, mobilidade e força. O Surf Movement e as variações técnicas são adaptados ao seu nível de força e habilidades - nós construímos pessoas comuns em atletas para a vida toda!

Vamos explorar movementos de surf básicos para os membros superiores e inferiores do corpo com intenção de fortalecer seus músculos, tendões, articulações e o sistema nervoso. Esta é uma forma de abrir os olhos de iniciantes e atletas experientes.

3 - 4 horas com uma pausa no meio. Se os participantes preferirem terminar mais cedo, podemos fazer uma pequena pausa.

Sobre Rodrigo

A jornada do Rodrigo na indústria da saúde e fitness começou em 2001, quando ele concluiu um Bacharelado em Educação Física no Brasil. Ele trabalhou como personal trainer e treinador de natação / triathlon por vários anos no Brasil antes de se mudar para a Austrália há mais de 10 anos. Tornou-se um instrutor de fitness credenciado na Austrália pela FISAF (International Federation of Sport Aerobic and Fitness) em 2006, em seguida completou Level 1 High-Performance Sports Coach através do Instituto C.H.E.K (Corrective High-Performance Exercise Kinesiology).

Rod sempre foi apaixonado por trabalhar com atletas de esportes profissionais e, por essa razão, completou um Diploma Avançado de Esportes (Support Athlete and Remedial Massage) para alcançar excelentes resultados com clientes em competições profissionais, tratamento de lesões e conselhos de estilo de vida.

Em 2008, ele abriu seu próprio estúdio de fitness, o Holistic Pro Health Performance (HPHP), depois de muitos anos na indústria. Ele está situado em Coolangatta, extremo sul da Gold Coast e a uma curta distância das famosas quebras de surfe de Kirra. O HPHP oferece uma variedade de serviços, como aulas em grupo, condicionamento físico individual e massagem corretiva. Ao longo de sua carreira, Rod continuou a desenvolver suas habilidades profissionais e participou de cursos de treinamento como Ido Portal Method, DNS nível 1, 2 e 3 (Estabilização Dinâmica Neuromuscular da Escola de Praga), FMS nível 1 (Functional Movement System), Wim Hof Method (respiração e banho de gelo), e FMA (Functional Muscle Acceleration - como treinador de força e mentor). Ele também completou recentemente os níveis 1, 2, 3 e 4 do treinamento Ginastica Natural e Foundation Training.
